The marine craft service program
Welcome to the Marine Craft Service Program. The Marine Craft team has over 6 decades of combined experience in the service, sale, operation, and support of cruising catamarans. We are ABYC certified in numerous marine standards and areas of competency. This program will allow us to better support vessel owners as they maintain their vessels to the highest standards. A highly maintained vessel not only increases your safety and comfort while you are traveling but it will ensure the highest resale value when it comes time for you to move on to new adventures. The Marine Craft Service Program works hand in hand with the Factory Certified Program. If an owner is enrolled in the service program and adheres to findings in the bi-annual surveys they will be automatically enrolled in the Factory Certified Program when it is time to sell. The costs of the FCP survey will be waived. This is a cost savings of over $1,000.00. The Marine Craft team looks forward to working with our vessel owners to make the dream of cruising as safe, comfortable, and stress free as possible. We’re glad to have you on board.
Marine Craft will conduct a bi-annual survey of the vessel as included in the Marine Craft Service program. During the survey deficiencies will be identified. Through this process we can help our owners maintain their vessels to the highest standards. This survey can also be used to satisfy insurance survey requirements. Most insurance companies require an up to date survey. With this program you will always have a recent survey to provide. The Marine Craft Service Program survey will need to be conducted within 18-30 months of the previous survey in order to maintain program currency. The survey fee is waived for the bi-annual survey; however travel expenses will be the responsibility of the vessel owner. Every other survey must incorporate a haul out and bottom inspection. The vessel owner is responsible for that cost.
All work performed by Marine Craft is warrantied for 12 months as long as the vessel is enrolled in the Marine Craft Service program. The warranty does not cover acts of nature or negligence. Owners that are enrolled in the program receive 5% off all work and parts ordered through Marine Craft. If work is completed by personnel other than Marine Craft, that work must be inspected by Marine Craft during the bi-annual service window but is not warrantied by Marine Craft. If any deficiencies in the work are noted they must be corrected to maintain the service program.
If the vessel has been enrolled in the Marine Craft Service Plan and has had a survey with haul out in the preceding 12 months of listing the vessel for sale this will also count towards the survey for the Factory Certified Program. The exception is if there are indications of damage or major failures in the vessel systems a full FCP survey including haul out may be required.
As part of the program you are automatically enrolled in the remote help program. If you have a Victron system with VRM, Marine Craft will provide online support and troubleshooting for your electrical system. You will also receive unlimited email, texting, or phone support. All responses will be delivered within 24 hours from 0830-1700 Eastern Standard Time Monday through Friday except holidays. If you have an emergency you can call or text Marine Craft anytime. An emergency is defined as the vessel does not have means of propulsion (sail or mechanical), taking on water, fire, or complete electrical failures. Non-emergency calls or texts will incur a rate of $75 per hour with a minimum one hour charge.
The Marine Craft Service Program is $75 per month or $825 per year.
